I happened across this article today that discusses beer foam and head retention. While it points to some older and well known solutions, it also describes some different remedies like volume of yeast pitch and fermentation temperatures. I found it a great read and though I’d share. http://www.byo.com/departments/1410.html
6:30pm at MoreBeer
Tech Talk: TBA
Style Talk: Double IPA (BJCP 14C – Imperial IPA)
AHA Club Comps are a great way to earn to earn club points and bring DOZE some extra recognition. If you’re planning your yearly brew schedule, take a look at the styles and dates below. We typically judge category beers at the meeting before the entry due date (but we don’t always have a lot of submissions). So brew ’em and bring ’em. See the AHA Club Competition website for more specific details.

January Meeting at B3
Elections will be held
Other topics and speakers TBA
We had a great holliday party last night! Tasty food and lots of good beer. If anyone has pictures they’d be willing to share, please e-mail them to me or you can upload them to Flickr and tag them “clubdoze“.
A few quick reminders:
The annual planning meeting will be coming up at the beginning of January.
We will be holding Club Elections at the January meeting (1/29/07), please give some thought to running for a club office.
JJ has graciously offer his new brewery (which isn’t quite finished yet) for our annual party. This a DOZE gathering in which we encourage our members to bring their spouses or significant others.
We have planned for Monday Dec 11th. This will be catered and should cost around $20/person (the details are being finalized now). We are also able to bring our own homebrew to this venue (which has been a problem in the past).
