Last Months's meeting was a killer.Olin and JJ brought out 7 kegs of JJ's pale ale. Each keg was filled from the same batch. Each keg had, however, had been dry-hopped with different types of hop. Each keg had a distinctively different taste and it was really quite interesting to see just how different the tastes were. Several of the members also brought in their own brews for tasting including (IMHO) a really fine honey beer and a barleywine. To top it off Chris brought out a 2 year old mead that was pure white lightening. (Find out where he keeps that stuff).
Somewhere in the middle of all of this we (somehow) were able to
plan events for the next 3 meetings.

The Big Brew is ComingDon't Miss This !!!
The E.J. Phair Brewing Company is going to brew a Marzen on his system. If you ever wanted to see how a commercial brewer does it and how a micro-brew is set up in intimate detail, this is your big chance. This will be a day long process and you can stop by at any time. Yes, there will be food ! Club members, remember to bring a dish to pass. There will be a bar-b-que going on as well. For those who are interested, for a reasonable fee, you can come back in April and bring a carboy, keg, or bottling bucket and get 5 gallons of a finished Marzen.
